The 2018/2019 Season marks our 35th Anniversary, and we are celebrating.
The Season began with 35th Anniversary Gala Concert & Celebration.
The Gala featured some of opera’s most memorable arias, performed by local and international opera singers as well as performances by the company’s orchestra and chorus
Bizet’s Carmen has been called one of the greatest operas of all time, and it’s easy to understand why. This opera has everything—spectacular staging, passionate characterizations, emotion-laden performances, lush orchestrations, and memorable melodies. Even if you don’t know the opera, you’ll recognize the tunes, as well as the emotions, and leave the theater with a lump in your throat and a song in your heart. This production includes local performers you know and love as well as singers who are known nationally and internationally.

TOP Young Artists
Summer Opera Institute: June 2018 launched the annual Summer Opera Institute with over 25 young singers who spent two weeks learning from local professional artists. During that time, the participants learned 21 opera selections in four languages and performed them at a final concert at the Trinity United Presbyterian Church who graciously donated the use of their lovely sanctuary. Look for a repeat performance in the summer of 2019. To see this summer’s concert, click here.
Kristina Townsend Memorial Competition – March 16, 2019: This one-day event is an opportunity for young singers to compete for scholarships.
